 Welcome to the South Boston – Halifax
Junior Woman’s Club. We are a diverse
group of highly motivated women who are
dedicated to improving our community,
country, and world through active
volunteerism. Our members strive to create
positive changes in our society through a
variety of community service projects and
charitable fundraisers. These activities
include promoting education, supporting
participation in the arts, preserving
natural resources, encouraging healthy
lifestyles, stressing good citizenship, and
contributing to international causes.
Our club is a member of the General
Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC), the
oldest and largest women’s volunteer group
in the world, and the GFWC of Virginia
(Alice Kyle District).
